The client

Rituals Coffee sells specialty beans and brewing equipment in Indonesia, and teaches customers how to use what they buy.

Challenge

Selling brewing gear is a consultative sale — the customer needs to be talked through a grinder before they will buy one. A marketplace listing gives you none of that, and it gives you none of the customer either.

Solution

Their own storefront, in both languages their customers read. Products, brands, and editorial come out of one database, so the catalogue, the sale pricing, and the guides that explain the gear stay in step. Checkout handles payment and shipping directly, and a booking flow turns the consultative part of the sale into something a customer can schedule.

Process

Built on Next.js with Supabase behind it. The team publishes a product, a brand, or an article from the dashboard; no deploy, no developer in the loop.

What shipped
  • 01Two catalogue lines — beans and equipment — with brand pages, sale pricing, and a route generated per product straight from the database.
  • 02Indonesian and English served as separate indexed locales, /id and /en, each carrying its own hreflang pair and sitemap entries.
  • 03Checkout wired through payment and shipping, alongside a session-booking flow and an editorial blog running on the same stack.
