Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

This is a template terms of service pending final legal review — it reflects how this site and the ACT Lab client portal actually work today, in plain language.

01

The agreement

These terms cover use of this website and the ACT Lab client portal. Using either means you agree to them. A separate signed statement of work governs the actual delivery of any project — these terms don’t replace it.

02

Accounts

The client portal is invite-only. You’re responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you think an account has been compromised.

03

Acceptable use

Don’t use this site or the portal to do anything illegal, to attempt to access another client’s data, or to disrupt the service for anyone else.

04

Payments

Invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice. Payment is processed by Stripe or Xendit; we never see or store your full card details. Late payment may pause active work — we’ll always tell you before that happens.

05

Intellectual property

Ownership of the work we deliver transfers to you on full payment, as specified in the relevant statement of work. We retain the right to describe and display completed work in our own portfolio unless your agreement says otherwise.

06

Availability

We aim to keep the client portal available at all times but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access — scheduled maintenance and things outside our control (like a hosting provider outage) can cause downtime.

07

Limitation of liability

We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this site or the portal. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

08

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we’ll update the date below and, for active clients, let you know directly. Contact hello@actlab.xyz with any questions.
